This Privacy Policy describes how Pankaj Gaikar (“we”, “us”, “Service Provider”) handles information when you use the RetroMusic mobile application (“App”) for iPhone and iPad, including related widgets and App Intents extensions.
Apple Music authorization. When you grant access, the App reads and plays music from your Apple Music library and catalog through MusicKit. We do not receive your Apple ID password.
On-device preferences. Theme choice, discovery layout, search history (recent terms), onboarding state, and similar settings are stored locally on your device and, where applicable, in an App Group container shared with widgets.
Playback snapshot. A lightweight now-playing snapshot (track title, artist, progress, theme ID) may be written to the App Group so widgets can display current playback.
Lyrics. When you view synced lyrics, the App may send track title, artist, album, and duration to LRCLib (lrclib.net) to match community lyrics. LRCLib responses may be cached on your device.
Purchases (when offered). If RetroMusic Pro subscriptions or lifetime purchase are enabled, payment is processed by Apple. Purchase entitlement status may be verified through RevenueCat. We do not receive your full payment card details.
Analytics (release builds). We may collect usage and diagnostic events through Firebase Analytics and session analytics through Microsoft Clarity to improve stability and features. These tools may receive device and app interaction data according to their policies. Analytics are disabled in debug builds of the App.
The App relies on services that process data under their own terms and privacy policies, including:
Preferences, search history, and lyrics cache remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Analytics providers retain data according to their retention schedules. You may request deletion of contact-related inquiries by emailing us (see Contact).
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
The Service Provider is based in India. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
