These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the RetroMusic application (“App”) published by Pankaj Gaikar (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
RetroMusic is a retro-themed client for Apple Music. It provides Home, Browse, Library, and Search experiences, eleven visual themes, playback controls, optional synced lyrics, and widgets. An active Apple Music subscription is required. RetroMusic uses MusicKit and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Apple Inc.
Apple Music, MusicKit, and related marks are trademarks of Apple Inc. Music availability, catalog content, and playback quality depend on Apple’s services and your subscription.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use. See also our End User License Agreement (EULA).
You agree not to: reverse engineer or extract source code except where law permits; redistribute or resell the App; use the App unlawfully; interfere with servers or networks; circumvent purchase or entitlement checks; or use the App to infringe third-party rights (including music copyrights).
The App does not require a separate RetroMusic account. You are responsible for securing your device, Apple ID, and Apple Music subscription.
All eleven retro themes are free to use. Theme visuals, fonts, and UI chrome are owned by the Service Provider or licensors. Album artwork and music metadata are provided through Apple Music and remain subject to Apple’s terms.
When offered, RetroMusic Pro may unlock premium discovery and catalog features as described in the App. Pro may be offered as:
Product identifiers in the App Store: com.pankajgaikar.retromusic.premium.weekly, com.pankajgaikar.retromusic.premium.annual, com.pankajgaikar.retromusic.premium.lifetime. Prices are displayed in the App before purchase and may vary by region and currency.
Billing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device.
Free trials and introductory offers. If offered, trial or promotional pricing terms will be shown at purchase and governed by Apple’s rules.
Refunds. Refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies. We do not process App Store refunds directly.
Restore purchases. Use “Restore” in the App to re-sync Pro entitlements on a new device, subject to Apple and RevenueCat availability.
Synced lyrics may be sourced from third-party community databases (such as LRCLib). Lyrics accuracy and availability are not guaranteed. Lyrics are for personal display only.
The App uses Apple, and may use RevenueCat and analytics providers. Your use of those services may be subject to their terms, including Apple Media Services Terms and RevenueCat Terms.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, ACCURATE LYRICS, OR CONTINUED AVAILABILITY OF APPLE MUSIC OR MUSICKIT FEATURES.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON MUSIC, LYRICS, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR PRO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
We may modify the App or these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We may stop offering the App or these Terms at any time. Upon termination, your license ends and you must stop using and delete the App.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country apply.
