This Privacy Policy describes how Pankaj Gaikar (“we”, “us”, “Service Provider”) handles information when you use the RetroWeather mobile application (“App”) for iOS and related widgets.

Summary

• We do not require an account to use the App.
• Location is used to show weather for your area and saved places you choose.
• We do not sell your personal information.
• Weather data is provided by Apple Weather (WeatherKit) and, when needed, supplementary forecast providers as described in the App.

Information we collect

Location. With your permission, the App uses device location (When In Use) to show current-location weather and to support widgets. Coordinates are used to request forecasts; we do not publish your precise location to other users.

Saved cities. City names and coordinates you save are stored on your device (and in the App Group shared container for widgets if you use widgets).

Purchases. Subscription and lifetime purchase status is processed by Apple and RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status (for example, whether Pro is active), not your full payment card details.

Analytics (release builds). We may collect usage and diagnostic events through Firebase Analytics and session analytics through Microsoft Clarity to improve stability and features. These tools may receive device and app interaction data according to their policies. Analytics are disabled in debug builds of the App.

Notifications. If you enable notifications, the App schedules local notifications on your device based on weather conditions. Notification content is generated on-device; we do not operate a separate messaging server for routine weather alerts.

How we use information

• Provide weather forecasts, widgets, and optional Pro features (saved cities, notifications).
• Process purchases and restore entitlements.
• Improve reliability, performance, and product decisions via aggregated analytics.
• Comply with law and protect our rights where required.

Third-party services

The App relies on services that process data under their own terms and privacy policies, including:

• Apple (WeatherKit, App Store, in-app purchases)
• RevenueCat (purchase infrastructure)
• Google Firebase (analytics)
• Microsoft Clarity (analytics)

Data retention

Preferences and saved cities remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App. Analytics providers retain data according to their retention schedules. You may request deletion of contact-related inquiries by emailing us (see Contact).

Children

The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

Your choices

• Deny or revoke location access in iOS Settings.
• Disable notifications in iOS Settings or in the App.
• Manage subscriptions in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Uninstall the App to stop on-device data collection.

International users

The Service Provider is based in India. By using the App, you understand that information may be processed in countries where we or our service providers operate.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
