Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Pankaj Gaikar (“we”, “us”, “Service Provider”) handles information when you use the Aarti & Pooja iOS application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use.
Summary
- No account, email signup, or social login.
- No ads and no in-app purchases in v1.
- We do not sell personal data or use data for cross-app advertising tracking.
- Favorites, language preference, and notification settings are stored on your device.
- Release builds use Firebase Analytics (Google) for aggregate product insights.
Information stored on your device
- Preferences — language, notification toggles, audio-related settings.
- Favorites — aartis and poojas you save, stored locally.
- Onboarding choices — preferred deities / languages you pick during setup.
Permissions you may grant
- Notifications (optional) — festival reminders and optional daily aarti times, delivered as local notifications scheduled on your device.
- No camera, contacts, microphone, or precise location access is required for core worship features.
Analytics
We use Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate feature usage (for example, which aartis are opened, whether notifications are enabled). Events are designed to avoid personal identifiers and do not include your name, email, contacts, or lyric text you type.
We do not use Analytics for advertising or IDFA-based cross-app tracking. Google’s processing is also subject to Google’s privacy terms for Firebase.
Audio
Audio bundled with the App plays on your device (including background playback when you choose). We do not upload your listening history to an app-operated content server for core playback.
What we do not collect
- No app account or contact book access.
- No advertising ID–based ad tracking (the App does not show third-party ads).
- No required cloud sync of favorites.
Children’s privacy
The App is intended for a general audience. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Your choices
- Deny or revoke notification permission in iOS Settings.
- Adjust reminder preferences inside the App Settings.
- Uninstall the App to remove on-device App data (subject to iOS backup behavior).
International users
The Service Provider is based in India. Information processed through Apple and Firebase may be handled in countries where those providers operate.
Changes
We may update this Policy by posting a new version on this page with an updated effective date.
