Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how Pankaj Gaikar (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information in connection with the Marathi Hindi Compass application (“App”). By using the App, you agree to this Policy and our Terms of Use (EULA).

1. Information we process

Depending on how you use the App, we may process:

Device & usage analytics — app interactions, crash logs, performance data (via Firebase Analytics / Crashlytics).
Advertising identifiers — for free users who see ads (via Google AdMob), subject to your device settings and applicable consent frameworks.
Purchase status — subscription / lifetime entitlements via Apple and RevenueCat (we do not receive your full payment card details).
On-device data — preferences (language, theme, font, accessibility), saved directions, and widget-related values stored on your device or App Group container. Compass heading uses device sensors locally.
Approximate location (optional) — if you grant permission, used for features such as sunrise/sunset times; not required for basic compass use.

We do not require you to create a Marathi Hindi Compass account.

2. How we use information

To provide and improve the App (compass, Vastu helpers, themes, widgets, paywall experiments).
To measure reliability (crashes, performance) and understand feature usage.
To show ads to free users and to unlock Premium for paying users.
To comply with law and protect the service.

3. Third-party services

These providers may process data under their own policies:

Google Analytics for Firebase / Firebase
Firebase Crashlytics
Google AdMob
RevenueCat
Apple (App Store, StoreKit, device services)

4. Data retention

On-device preferences remain until you delete the App or clear them. Analytics and crash data are retained according to the third-party providers’ settings and our operational needs. Purchase records are retained as needed for entitlements and accounting.

5. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

6. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided such information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.

7. Your choices

Device Settings — limit ad tracking, location, and analytics where the OS allows.
Delete the App to remove local App data from the device.
Manage subscriptions in Apple ID → Subscriptions.

8. International processing

Third-party providers may process data in other countries. Where required, they use appropriate transfer mechanisms.

9. Changes

We may update this Policy by posting a new version on this page with an updated effective date.
