This Privacy Policy describes how Pankaj Gaikar (“we”, “us”, “Service Provider”) handles information when you use the Still mobile application (“App”) for iPhone and iPad — a widget-first, offline King James Version (KJV) daily verse reader.
Reading preferences. Onboarding completion, reminder time, last reading position, and similar settings are stored locally.
Saved verses. Verses you bookmark are stored on device (for example with SwiftData) so they remain available offline.
Widget cache. A short verse-of-the-day payload may be written to an App Group container so Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets can update without loading the full Bible database.
App icon choice. If you pick an alternate app icon, that preference is stored on device.
In release builds, the App may use Firebase Analytics (Google) to understand feature usage (for example tab opens, onboarding completion, widget gallery views, or purchase funnel steps). Events are designed to avoid personal identifiers and do not include full verse text or your saved-verse contents.
Debug builds do not send analytics events. Google’s processing of analytics data is also subject to Google’s privacy terms for Firebase.
Optional Still Plus (lifetime unlock for additional widget styles and themes) is purchased through Apple’s In-App Purchase system. Apple processes payment and purchase status. We receive entitlement signals needed to unlock Plus features; we do not receive your full payment card details.
The App includes the King James Version, which is in the public domain. We do not claim copyright over the KJV text itself.
Uninstalling the App removes on-device preferences, favorites, and widget caches created by the App. To stop reminders, disable notifications in iOS Settings or turn the reminder off in the App. To manage App Store purchases, use your Apple ID purchase settings. Analytics data retained by Firebase is aggregate/pseudonymous according to that service’s retention practices.
The App is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
The Service Provider is based in India. By using the App, you understand that information processed through Apple (App Store, notifications) and Firebase (if analytics are enabled) may be handled in countries where those providers operate.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated policy.
