These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Still application (“App”) published by Pankaj Gaikar (“Service Provider”, “we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Still is a quiet, widget-first daily verse experience: Verse of the Day, Home and Lock Screen widgets, an offline King James Version (KJV) Bible reader, saved verses, and optional reminders. The App is not a church, counseling service, medical device, or emergency service.
Scripture. The KJV text included in the App is public domain. Presentation, design, widgets, and software remain protected as described below.
Subject to these Terms and Apple’s App Store terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial use—unless you have a separate commercial arrangement with us in writing.
You agree not to: reverse engineer or extract source code except where law permits; redistribute or resell the App; use the App unlawfully; scrape or bulk-export the bundled Bible database for competing commercial redistribution; interfere with widgets or system services; or misuse the App to harass others.
The App does not require a Still account. You are responsible for securing your device and Apple ID. Favorites, reading position, reminders, and widget caches remain on your device unless you choose to share a verse through the system share sheet.
Core reading and a baseline widget experience may be offered free of charge. Optional Still Plus (for example a lifetime unlock) may unlock additional widget styles and themes as described in the App at the time of purchase. Purchases are billed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple under App Store policies.
EULA / standard terms: where required, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies: Standard EULA.
The App uses Apple services (App Store, notifications, widgets, share sheet) and may use Google Firebase Analytics in release builds. Your use of those services is subject to their terms, including the Apple Media Services Terms and Apple Privacy Policy.
The App, design, widgets, branding, and software belong to the Service Provider or licensors. The public-domain KJV text is not claimed as our copyrighted scripture. You retain rights in any personal notes or shares you create outside the App.
THE APP IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION, PERFECT WIDGET TIMING ON EVERY DEVICE, OR THAT THE APP REPLACES PERSONAL STUDY, PASTORAL CARE, OR PROFESSIONAL COUNSEL.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE PROVIDER SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM RELIANCE ON THE APP, MISSED REMINDERS, DATA LOSS, OR THIRD-PARTY SERVICES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE APP SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR USD $10 IF YOU PAID NOTHING.
We may modify the App or these Terms. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
We may stop offering the App or these Terms at any time. Upon termination, your license ends and you should stop using and delete the App. Paid entitlements remain subject to Apple’s purchase terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country apply.
